The one policy that replaces you.
Term life exists for a single question: if your income stopped tomorrow, does your family keep the house? Tell us a little about you. A licensed agent shops several carriers and calls you with real prices. No pressure, and no obligation.
- Several carriers compared, not one
- Many applicants qualify without a medical exam
- An independent agent on your file afterward
Three steps, and none of them involve a filing cabinet.
Tell us a little about you
A minute, no health questions here. Just enough for a licensed agent to reach you.
We shop the carriers
A licensed agent compares several life insurance carriers for your age, health and coverage amount, and calls you with real prices.
Apply only if it fits
Pick the policy, and we help you through the application. Nothing is charged until the carrier approves you and you accept.
The price is the same. The difference is who picks up in five years.
Buying life insurance directly and buying it through Sullivan James Insurance cost you exactly the same — the carrier pays the commission either way. What you get by going through an agency is a file that belongs to someone.
We've been an independent agency since 2016, and life is one line among many we place. When you buy a bigger house, when a second child arrives, when you finally need to look at the whole picture instead of one policy — that's the part a direct-to-consumer checkout doesn't include.
How does this work?
You give us a few details. A licensed agent shops several life insurance carriers for you, then calls with real prices and helps you pick the coverage amount and term length. Nothing is submitted to a carrier until you decide to apply.
Do I need a medical exam?
Often not. Many carriers now use accelerated underwriting, based on your answers plus records they can already access, for healthy applicants and moderate coverage amounts. Some applications still need an exam, and we will tell you up front which carriers would require one.
How much coverage should I carry?
A common starting point is ten to twelve times your income, adjusted for your mortgage balance, other debts, and what it would cost to get your children through school, minus savings and any coverage you have through work. We do this math with you on the call.
Is Sullivan James the insurance company?
No. Sullivan James is an independent agency. We place life insurance with carriers and are paid a commission by the carrier when a policy is issued. It costs you nothing extra, and the premium is the same as going direct.
What happens after I'm approved?
The carrier issues your policy and sends you the documents. We stay on the file as your agent, so when your situation changes, such as a new house, another child or a raise, you have someone to call who already knows your coverage.
Sullivan James Insurance is a licensed independent insurance agency, not an insurance company. Policies are issued and underwritten by the carrier, and all coverage is subject to underwriting approval, policy terms, exclusions, and limitations. Applying does not guarantee coverage, and no coverage is in force until the carrier issues the policy and the first premium is paid. Availability varies by state. This page is for informational purposes and is not an offer of insurance in any state where Sullivan James Insurance is not licensed.
